The question doesn’t make any sense. They were formed from “French West Africa”.
Algeria was in French North Africa, Sudan and Nigeria were British. It’s got to be C, except that they weren’t formed “from” Mauritania… Burkina Faso, Chad, Niger and Mali are all outside of Mauritania.
This question doesn’t seem to make any sense, unless, of course, I am missing something.
Most of these places are ancient.
Burkina Faso, Chad, Niger, and Mali wasn’t formed but released from the former French Equatorial Africa, the federation of French colonial possessions in Middle Africa, extending northwards from the Congo River to the Sahara Desert;
Chad
Oubangui-Chari (currently Central African Republic)
French Congo (currently The Republic of Congo)
Gabon
French Cameroon (currently Cameroon)
French West Africa was a federation of eight French colonial territories in Africa:
Mauritania
Senegal
French Sudan (now Mali)
French Guinea (now Guinea)
Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso)
Dahomey (now Benin)
Niger.
Almost the entire Northwest Africa was controlled by France.
(At one time it was ALL French alone)
