Question by : how would a kitten survive?
There was a very small kitten crying outside my window, it looked about 5 weeks old and was by itself. I’ve been trying my best to get him to come to me, from like 9pm til now at almost 1 in the morning and I just couldn’t get him he’s SO small and fast I put wet food out to him and he didn’t want it. Im so worried about him now I don’t know where he went. What are the chances he will live outside? And what is he going to eat do you think to live? I’m worried if I couldn’t catch him after all I did to try to, no one will probably be able to.
I live by a busy road, although he didn’t go that direction now, I’m worried he will cause I’ve seen a lot of road kill on that road.. what are his chances for survival do you think..?
I can’t feed him with a bottle when I can’t even find him or catch him.. I don’t need to know how to feed him, I’m just wondering his chances of survival….he probably won’t come back to this area
@Kurohyou
I wasn’t chasing him, most the time I tried calling him while he hid in a bush/under a car. He only ran away once and thats why I cant find him now.

if its as small as you say get an eye droper and milk and thats the way u feed a baby kitten it thinks its mothers nipple. therefor he should drink it. and if u feed him properly he should survive
a young kitten wouldn’t survive long without shelter and milk from it’s mother. Maybe getting to come with isn’t a good idea when his reaction is to run from you. if you still see he around you can make an area outside where he can take refuge in leaving food and water/goat/cow milk without having you chase after him and he have a better chance to survive. if that doesn’t work, there isn’t much you can do i’m afraid
Place some tuna out – cats LOVE tuna. and keep a constant watch, so you don’t miss it if the kitten eats the tuna.
If the mother cat doesn’t find him – slim to none. Kittens die like this all the time because people let their cats free roam and/or abandon them and don’t bother spaying neutering them.
He will not survive on his own, so you need to it. If you can get close enough, you can drop a towel or pillow case over it and scoop em up quickly. It wouod be best to have help to corner it. But be careful, even kittens have very sharp claws and teeth. If you can’t catch it, call your local animal control and they will come trap it for you. Either way, make sure it gets to a vet right away to be checked out. Good luck!
I suggest those that are troubled by this situation speak up about spaying next time someone is asking for advice on their pregnant cat on this forum. Too many of you are condoning the actions of these irresponsible owners (thus exacerbating the problem) by simply holding their hand and answering their question for a ‘best answer’ reward.
