use detangler, or go to a hair place or just keep tugging at it.

Ask someone to help you and put your head in the sink.
Then use LOTS of conditioner and ask the person to keep trying to brush it out and just keep putting on conditioner until you get it out.

It worked for me before.

Detangler and a wide tooth comb…apply the detangler and slowly comb the knot out. Johnson and Johnson has some great detangler that is usually used on kids, but it is perfect for adults too.

Try smooth peanut butter. It’s been known to do the trick. Good luck!

you have two days to get rid of a knot????? what type of hair do you have? Must be really really thick. Try putting plain conditioner in your hair or butter or something I guess. Brush it lol. And take a shower using shampoo and conditioner. I know there’s detangling spray at wallmart too

i had that before! just have an hour-long shower, and make sure you soak your hair in shampoo and conditioner, TRESemme is best, it gets all the knots out in a wink! That worked for me! Good Luck! If it come school day and you still have it, tie it back in a ponytail, but my advice should help you! x GOOD LUCK! x

conditioner, de-tangler spray, and soaking it down with water helps, along with hair gel. whenever you brush it, brush at the bottom of the mess and just work your way up. That works with my hair, it’s always like that from where it’s curly.

Try putting tons of conditioner in your hair and leaving it in.. The next part takes patience. You’ll just have to sit with a wide-tooth comb and work away at it.. Start at the bottom and work your way up..

I had the same thing happen once when I was in the hospital for a long time… Laying there all day made my long hair knot up really badly…

You should put A LOT of conditioner on your hair for a couple of hours, don’t rinse it and then take a comb, not a brush and just comb it out slowly and eventually, it’ll won’t be a huge knot anymore.

Detangler, and a brush, hunny!!!
You should be able to get it rather cheap, if you get the kind for children. Or “leave-in-conditioner”
Good luck!

shit no cooking oil shower and a F*ck load of conditioner like a whole bottle with water and brush it out while your in the shower i mean reef the hairbrush through your hair you need alot of time and patience for this
keep brushing for ages when your out of the shower dont blow dry your hair let it naturally dry .

i used to have big dreadlocks in my hair so bad i once cut my hair the knots in my hair were so bad once the hairdresser said that i had to brush my hair out myself, but this method works trust me.

Peanut butter or mayonaise help with gum.. but you can try it.

Wet it and start from the bottom of the know and detangle from the bottom and slowly work your way up.

using detangle spray might help.. but im not sure if it will do magic.
Also you might wanna try some silk therapy oil. Doing the same thing as above.

This happens to me and I keep my hair long anyway! There are a gazillion products out there but here’s my recommendation if you don’t want to cut the knot off. Use a deep conditioning treatment such as Pantene. Not regular conditioner but the super deep conditioning kind. Wash your hair and then put the conditioner in. Leave it in for 20 minutes. Rinse it out. Then use a ton of a powerful leave in detangling conditioning treatment such as you find in a hair supply store. Jeri Redding sells a very strong one. Then, carefully starting from the ends of your hair as best you can find them – pull the strands out with your fingers. You will find that your hair will begin to separate in to smaller knots which are then easier to work with. Then, you can apply more of the leave in conditioner to get around all the strands in the smaller knots and pull those out by hand. Once you get most of the knots out and your hair is dry – use a boar’s hair brush and very carefully brush your hair out starting from the very ends to the top. This is going to take some time. I once tried hair extensions and I got a knot so bad – it took 5 days of this to get it out. But, I do get knots even without extensions in. There will be some breakage. I wouldn’t go to a salon unless you’re ready for them to recommend cutting it out. If you can find someone willing to take their time – they can help you but they have to be super patient and understanding that you don’t want to be bald!
